More than a transaction

When asked what her favorite thing about being a real estate agent is, Rebeca has two answers – her clients and handing over keys.

“I work with a lot of first-time homebuyers. I love working with them because they’re so excited about this huge milestone they’re achieving.”

She goes above and beyond for every client, never wanting them to feel like they’re just a transaction.

“I have past clients who send me texts just to catch up, to let me know how the kids are doing, or to show me a picture of a recent bathroom remodel. I try really hard to keep those relationships.”

One of Rebeca’s fondest memories since becoming a real estate agent was helping a couple in their 60s buy a house for the very first time.

“They never thought they’d be homeowners. They didn’t think their credit was good enough, they didn’t think they had enough money.”

Rebeca connected them with one of her lenders. Their credit was almost there, but not quite, so the lender and Rebeca worked with them for a few extra months to get them where they needed to be.

“Until that point, no one had sat down with them to help them understand the process. A lot of agents just want to take the low-hanging fruit, the easy sale. They don’t want to take the time to nurture someone or coach them on what they should do for the next six months.”

The couple was extremely grateful to Rebeca for working with them. Their hard work eventually paid off, and they bought a house.

“They cried when I gave them the keys, they were so happy.”

Providing excellent customer service to clients comes naturally to Rebeca, who believes every real estate agent should be honest, trustworthy, and genuine at all times.

“You definitely have to have your clients’ best interests at heart. If you say you’re going to do something, do it. Follow through with your promises.”

Back at the office, you can find Rebeca sharing her wisdom and experiences with the #TEAMFAST agents she mentors.

“I love helping out the newer agents, and I also know that I can count on anyone at #TEAMFAST to help me out when I’m the one with a question. It’s a great team.”

Rebeca loves what she does every day, and can’t wait to see what the future holds – she might even sell real estate full-time in Mexico with eXp.

“I just really enjoy what I do. I love real estate,” she says.
